The Dubbo Club of Rotaract has members with a wide variety of interest, some of which are reflected in our four major events that we host throughout the year. The Antiques & Collectables Fair, Red & Gold Charity Ball and the Ute Muster & Country Ball, organised completely by our members, give each of us a chance to be involved in an event that we enjoy. Proceeds of which are donated to local charities to assist them in their ongoing contributions to our community.

 

In the course of organising these events we are given the opportunity to gain experience in different fields outside our professions, meeting with members of the public and the media, networking, communicating, and overall broadening our horizons. Many members have thanked Rotaract in assisting with there lives outside of the club. This may be socially, or by future employers looking favourably upon them because of community involvement and social skills.

The Rotaract Club is open to anyone between the ages of 18 and 30 interested in giving something back to their community and having a good time in the process. Out members come from a wide variety of backgrounds and professions, but all have one goal in common—to make the most of every opportunity and enjoy it!

 

Outside the clubs regular meetings, there are social events and gatherings organised whenever the opportunity presents itself. These range from after work drinks on a Friday Night, trips to wineries on the weekend, or just pizza and a movie.

Angel Flight, Orana Early Childhood Intervention, Careflight, Childflight, Dubbo Pony Club, Camp Quality, PCYC Gymnastics, Bracken House, Molly Tushack Appeal, Rural Fire Service, St John Ambulance, NALAG, Orana Dragon Boat Club and Rotary Cyclone Larry Appeal … just to name a few.

 

Rotaract is a non-profit, non-political, international volunteer service organisation of 18-30 year olds. There is more than 7000 clubs worldwide with over 160,000 members.
